Consoles to Expect in 2020

      It's been over 6 years since Sony and Microsoft released their highly anticipated next-generation video game consoles. Sony with its fourth console, the Playstation 4, and Microsoft with its third, the Xbox One. Both came in November of 2013. Now, in December of 2019, we finally have information about the release of the next generation of consoles coming out.          Microsoft gives a release date for the Xbox One at E3 2013 (Game Watcher)       In June 2019, Xbox teased the new console at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, commonly known as E3. At that time, it went under the name "Project Scarlett" and did not get changed until 6 months later. We now know it will be called the Series X. A Global 5G Network

     5G, also known as fifth-generation cellular wireless, is the next big thing in technology. With faster speeds and more coverage, it will not only change the cell phone industry, it will change the whole electronics industry. This is why so many companies are trying to get it deployed first. The first wave of 5G tech is being rolled out this year, and we should see the network fully deployed some time in 2020 (PC Mag).      (PC Mag)       Companies in the US are ahead of most of the world with the exception of some Asian companies in countries like China and South Korea. The problem is the American government. The FCC is planning to auction off rights to the 5G spectrum to cell companies for billions of dollars. This could cause problems for the whole operation if satellite companies sue the FCC for its actions. This whole auction could delay deployment of 5G from anywhere from 2 to 4 years (Fox Business).       ...

      One of the first things you might see when you open a new website is a pop up notification notifying you that the website uses cookies. Almost all of us just click yes and keep scrolling, but only a small percent of that group actually knows what cookies are.        Cookies can be very useful to users, but even more useful to large companies that use your data. Cookies are what tracks your activity to the internet from site to site. Companies then use the cookies to try to make your browsing experience better. The classic example of this is when you search for a product on Amazon or some other shopping website, and the next time you're on google you'll see ads for that product or products like it. Runaway Automation

When you think of robots, you probably think of large steel giants with guns for arms and lasers in their eyes. And while those kinds of robots are probably in development, there's a much scarier kind of robot taking over the United States.  Automation. Literally meaning, " the use of largely automatic equipment in a system of manufacturing or other production process."  When Henry Ford invented the assembly line, it skyrocketed production rates across the globe in all kinds of companies. Back then, the assembly line was made up of human workers. Now, as technology is getting exponentially better, many production facilities are using more and more automated robots to complete tasks.
